Jacques Bosser est né au Havre en 1946. Depuis 1986, ce peintre, sculpteur et photographe vit et a fixé son atelier à Montrouge.
De longs séjours à l’étranger font naître des œuvres ou des pistes de travail pour de nouveaux projets. En 1988 il travaille et expose à Los Angelès. En 1992 et 1994, lors de ses séjours en Inde, il prend des photographies autour des temples des pèlerins aux abords des fleuves qu’il utilisera ensuite pour associer a des peintures. Jacques Bosser is a French contemporary painter born in Le Havre (Normandy) in 1946.
He is also a photographer, drawer and sculptor.
From his African childhood and travels, he kept a fascination for signs and magic that helped him creating an original pictural language, hence this abundance of archaic traces coming out from the origins : circles, spirals, ellipsis, pure pigments swirls referring to the universal alphabet.
He often collates them with photographic images without choosing between representation and abstraction leading the spectator to pay more attention to the comprehension of the artwork.
