HOMMES
Helge HOMMES is a painter born in Germany in 1964.
He is an environmental activist who devotes his work to trees.
He has created numerous series, from abstract black-and-white paintings to his “social sculpture”, a tree made from waste.
“In 1988, I started working with trees. The daily walk in the forest, with the feeling of being in my own universe, leads to a permanent meditation of the self. Back in my studio to work, the act of painting boils down to the projection of all my walks.” (Helge Hommes)
