In the year 1990 :
After a successful career as a creative advertising director, Clemens Briels decided on an artistic calling. Initially searching for a distinctive style and a way of representing his philosophy, but convinced of his own creative potential and confident of his chance of success, Briels developed a typically incomparable but always recognisable handwriting.
In the year 1994 :
Ha beginns to be successful . His group of fans grows steadily and surely. To say nothing of the addicts, who are condemned to his Antipodism. The train was on the rails. And the train rumbles on. At unprecedented speed. He can count himself lucky in always having the right people around him, people who make a substantial contribution. Wife, child, the gallery owners and the art printers, the agents and the dealers. But with the emphasis on the staff who have brought structure and a perfectly functioning organisation to what has now become an “international” gallery. Briels´ work is exhibited in Malaysia, Belgium and Germany, America and France. Eagerness for his work grows rapidly. The Hague, Amsterdam, Bergen op Zoom, Breda, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Kalmthout, Knokke, Kuala Lumpur, Heidelberg, Stuttgart, Munich, Paris, New York, Miami, Chicago, Laguna Beach, San Francisco, Denver, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Santa Fe, Boston, Tampa, Costa Rica, Curaçao.
In the year 2000 :
Briels is appointed to official artist of the Olympic Winter Games of Salt Lake City 2002. Which results in the appearance of 2 Olympic posters. T.V. appearances and press parties follow. CNN Worldwide, BBC World News, CBS’s Good Morning America show, ABC, Fox News and New York 1. Wereld Omroep TV and 2 Vandaag.
